Read below for easy dried flower crafts to add more color to your home. These easy DIY projects are the perfect activity for a sleep over, a girl’s night in, or a solo activity.
What I love most about these crafts is that you can have full creative freedom when designing the pattern for the flowers. I personally picked a pack of dried flowers that had a lot of color variety! However, I saw different packs with just one solo color and some with just greenery. I bought this dried flower pack from Amazon and used the flowers for all the projects and still have leftover. These dried flower projects are the perfect DIY project for Spring and Summer. Happy Crafting!
Glass Dried Flower Frame
Materials
- Dried Flowers
- Mod Podge
- Glass Frame
This is a very classy and elevated way to add dried flowers into your home decor. I always recommend laying out the flowers first before gluing them down. After you like the layout, glue the flowers down and let them dry with the frame open. After the glue dries, close the frame and enjoy your new wall art!
Dried Flower Tray
Materials
- Air Dry Clay
- Dried Flowers
- Paint
- Mod Podge
- Air Dry Clay Varnish
I initially was planning on making an air-dry clay jewelry dish but decided to turn it into an incense holder. Shape the air-dry clay into a circle. I used a small plate to trace out the clay to get the preferred size. You can leave it to air dry or you can make a small hole in the center to hold an incense stick if you want to make an incense holder. Paint the clay once dry. After the paint dries, glue the dried flowers. Once the glue dries, paint the tray over with an air-dry varnish to add a cohesive glossiness.
Dried Flower Chest
Materials
- Mini Wooden Chest
- Mod Podge
- Dried Flowers
I made this to hold small special items as a keepsake. I particularly like this idea for a girl’s night in. Also, this would be great packaging for a gift because you can personalize it. One tip I would recommend is to coat the flowers with Mod Podge after they are glued on. Putting glue over the flowers and wooden area of the chest, helps avoid blotchiness. I also recommend keeping the glue away from the opening to avoid gluing the chest shut.
Embroidery Frame
Materials
- Embroidery hoop
- Fabric
- Fabric glue or Mod Podge
- Dried Flowers
I used fabric that I had left over from a previous project, however, you can use any fabric that works best for you and your home decor. First, secure the fabric in the embroidery hoop and cut the excess fabric. Any excess fabric that you can see from the front make sure to glue to the hoop. Next, lay out the dried flowers on the hoop before gluing the flowers down. I went with an earthy neutral to go with my dark green curtains.
